Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect your personal information when you use this website or contact us.
Last updated: 17 August 2026
1. Who we are
Pfano & Given Plumbing ("we", "us", "our") is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. We operate in Nzhelele (Dzanani) and the surrounding Vhembe district, Limpopo.
2. Privacy contact
Our Information Officer handles requests relating to your personal information.
- Name: Pfano
- Email: phophipfano@gmail.com
- Phone: 061 531 2873 / 076 505 7719 (Pfano, Owner)
3. What personal information we collect
We only collect what we need to respond to your enquiry and provide our services:
- Full name
- Phone number
- Suburb / town (optional)
- Service required (optional)
- The message or job details you provide
We do not knowingly collect special or sensitive information (e.g. health, biometric or ID number data) through this site, and the contact form does not request it.
4. Why we collect it
- To respond to your quote request or enquiry
- To contact you about scheduling, pricing and completing plumbing work
- To keep basic job records for invoicing and warranty purposes
We do not use your information for marketing without your separate, explicit consent, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Legal basis for processing
We process your personal information on the basis of the explicit consent you give when you tick the consent checkbox and submit the contact form, and where necessary to take steps before entering into a service agreement with you (e.g. providing a quote). See our Terms of Service for the terms that apply once you request a quote or booking.
6. Third parties & sharing
- WhatsApp: If you contact us via the WhatsApp button, your message is handled through WhatsApp/Meta's own platform and subject to their privacy policy, outside of our control.
- Google Fonts: This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser may contact Google's servers to fetch them, which can share your IP address with Google.
- We do not share your contact form details with any other third party except where required by law, or a service provider strictly assisting us in operating our business (e.g. accounting), under confidentiality obligations.
7. Data retention
We keep enquiry and job-related personal information only for as long as needed to complete the work, meet legal/tax record-keeping obligations, and resolve any warranty claims — typically no longer than 5 years after the last interaction, unless a longer period is required by law.
8. Security safeguards
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, unauthorised access, and misuse. This website does not store contact form submissions on its own server — submitting the form opens WhatsApp with your details, which are then transmitted directly to us over WhatsApp's own encrypted platform (see section 6).
9. Your privacy rights
You have the right to:
- Ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you and access a copy of it
- Request correction of inaccurate or outdated information
- Request deletion or destruction of your personal information, subject to legal record-keeping requirements
- Object to the processing of your personal information
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) if you believe your rights have been infringed
To exercise any of these rights, contact our Information Officer using the details in section 2.
10. Complaints to the Information Regulator
If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your personal information, you may lodge a complaint with South Africa's Information Regulator:
- Website: inforegulator.org.za
- Email: complaints.IR@justice.gov.za
11. Cookies & tracking
This website does not currently use analytics or advertising trackers. When you first visit, a cookie banner asks you to explicitly accept or decline non-essential cookies — nothing is switched on until you choose "Accept." Declining, or not choosing, means no non-essential cookies run.
Your choice is remembered on this device using local browser storage, which is strictly necessary for the banner to work and isn't itself a tracking cookie. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
